Fulcrum Environmental Consulting, Inc. (www.efulcrum.net) is seeking a professional to join our firm in a marketing, project coordination, and office operations role. This role is part of a strategic envisionment and will close gaps in our current organization. This position will be located in our Yakima, Washington office and is considered in-office full-time with a typical schedule of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Fulcrum has tailored the responsibilities of our traditional administrative assistant role to our changing industry. This role remains critical to the efficient operations of our offices and our team members. The estimated responsibilities for this role are:
40% Marketing
30% Project related work
20% General office responsibilities
10% Everything else
Marketing is a critical component to the public awareness of any firm. Fulcrum has been blessed for our 30+ year to have a steady stream of existing and new clients. However, we rarely have the time to celebrate the successes of our client’s projects. Check out our sleepy Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Your role in marketing will be to energize the brand activity of Fulcrum and celebrate the successes of our clients, and the achievements of the Fulcrum team. You’ll manage social media accounts, draft statements of qualifications, update firm listings, manage general client outreach, and support new client pursuits.
Project related tasks can vary, but may include project-specific invoicing summaries; collating invoicing backup; assist with invoice delivery; reviewing letters and reports for general readability; formatting/grammatical review; graphical presentations; and checking and entering spreadsheet data. For some documents, printing and delivery may be required. As your hands will be the last to touch each project file, you will complete a detailed review to ensure capture of all required documents prior to project closing.
The ideal candidate will have Microsoft Office skills at intermediate or higher level as Excel and Word are used extensively. Your status as a social media maven would be awesome.
While remote work has become more common, the mail still arrives each business day and the office phone still rings. We appreciate a pleasant voice on the phone and smile when the UPS/FedEx deliveries arrive, or staff return from the field. General office responsibilities may also include processing staff receipts, incoming vendor invoices, etc.
On some days there may be more than 10% in the everything else category. You’ll help fill in this category with your own skills and interest.
We desire a team member with strong experience and/or education in marketing, communications, business management, or related field. A bachelor degree in an aligned field is desired, but not a requirement. Experience that matches the needs of the position will be fully considered.
