The Work Environment

the work environment: Protection of our workers is both a moral and legal obligations - as well as a clear self-interest for employers given the simple consideration that healthier workers have higher productivity. Industrial hygiene, the “science of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace conditions that may cause workers’ injury or illness,” forms the core of Fulcrum’s service in this area. This broad definition of industrial hygiene covers all aspects of the work environment.

Fulcrum’s scope of services in the work environment include: industrial hygiene projects, including contractor oversight and clearance testing associated with asbestos abatement projects; employee exposure to noise, ionizing radiation, non-ionization radiation, chemicals, metals, airborne particulates, and bloodborne pathogens; production safety audits and plans in commercial, industrial, agricultural industrial, and energy production facilities; construction safety and health plans, audits, and incident investigations during complex and sensitive construction projects for wind farm construction, overhead transmission lines, and underground pipeline construction, etc.
